SNOW PLOWING UPDATE: March 15th; 11:00 am
The Situation: Our crews have been out since the early hours and are finished with the first pass of all city streets and cul-de-sacs and main routes have been plowed twice.
The Challenge: We’ve run into a significant number of vehicles parked on the street this morning. This makes it incredibly difficult, and sometimes impossible, for our plows to clear the snow safely.
Impact: In several areas, we simply couldn't plow because of blocked access. This leaves the road dangerous for you and your neighbors.
Enforcement: We are coordinating with the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office for parking enforcement for vehicles that are obstructing plowing operations.
Action Needed: Please move all vehicles off the street immediately and keep them off until plowing is fully completed on Monday.
Safety First: Visibility is low and roads are slick. If you don't have to be out, please stay home and give our drivers the space they need to work.
What’s Next: All crews will return after midnight tonight (early Monday morning) to begin a full-scale cleanup of all streets and cul-de-sacs as the snow subsides. Once street routes are completed, crews will transition to clearing city trails. Given the heavy accumulation, this will be a slow, ongoing process, we appreciate your continued patience!
We want to get every street cleared and safe as quickly as possible, but we need your help to make that happen. Thank you for doing your part!
