Winter Storm Warning: Snow Removal Operations
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning from late Saturday night through early Monday morning.
The Forecast
• Timing: Heavy snow expected throughout Sunday.
• Accumulation: 10 to 16 inches expected, with potential totals reaching 20 inches.
• Conditions: Expect heavy, wet snow and high winds. Snowfall rates may exceed 2 inches per hour, making driving conditions extremely hazardous. No travel is advised.
Plowing Schedule (Tentative - Subject to change)
To keep roads and cul-de-sacs accessible, Public Works will follow this schedule:
1. Sunday Morning – Afternoon: Crews will conduct a continuous full plow.
2. Monday After Midnight: Crews will return for a final full plow as the storm subsides.
Trail plowing will begin midday Monday, once all streets and cul-de-sacs are cleared. Please note that clearing the trail system is a time-consuming process; we appreciate your patience as our crews work through the city.
How You Can Help
To allow our crews to operate safely and efficiently, please clear the roadway of the following items:
• Vehicles (No street parking until operations end Monday afternoon)
• Garbage cans
• Basketball hoops and other personal items
Thank you for your cooperation. Stay safe!
